It is crucial and necessary for a talent vocal performer to make the health of the vocal cords a priority. A singer should also care for their bodily health with good diet and exercise. And the protection of the voice means caring for the vocal cords and employing proper breathing techniques while singing and speaking.
If you have a wonderful harmonious voice, be careful about avoiding certain sicknesses that can harm your voice. The first sign of a sore throat or throat pain is an indication you need to see the doctor immediately, as you want to get any ailment treated right away. Thinking about the health of your voice will help you extend the life of of your singing career as a performer.
As a singer or performer keep in mind that in order to keep your voice well, you need to take some initiative. One of the best things you can do is drink 48 to 64 ounces of water a day, especially if you exercise. It is also advisable to drink this much water to keep your voice healthy and strong.
The drinks to avoid or definitely limit the intake of are drinks containing caffeine such as coffee and try to avoid any alcohol. These two drinks can dehydrate and dry out the body consumed in excess. Drinking water on the other hand, hydrates the body leaving the skin and muscles at their best and keeps your throat hydrated essential for singing.
So you know that you should keep your voice in fine condition by hydrating your body with water, but also realize that the use of proper breathing is just as crucial. Usually when you first start learning the fundamentals of voice, the practice of good breath support will be taught. When you master the breathing methods for singers, you will be learning to prevent harm and injury to your voice also.
You know by now that you should avoid any caffeine drinks, but there are particular foods that a lot of people love to eat that you should keep away from. Eating spicy foods for example, can create stomach problems which can force acid pushing up through the throat area that can affect the voice. Cigarette smoke or smoky rooms can wreak havoc on a singer’s voice causing throat inflammation and dryness, which is not good for the vocal cords or throat.
While you need to keep away from cigarettes, smoky rooms, alcohol or caffeine and spicy or strong foods—do not use mouthwash because it has alcohol and other strong ingredients which can inflame your throat. The best type of mouthwash to use is one that contains saltwater. Try to rest your voice when you can, avoid any places where you have to speak loudly.
Lastly always remember a tired body is a tired throat, the healthier you are the healthier the throat. Taking plenty of exercise and eating healthily will help to keep both the body and voice healthy. But above all else, strong common sense and using correct breathing techniques will keep the voice at its best.

Our planet is blessed with a variety of alternative energy resources - many just waiting to be used. Most people immediately think of solar energy which utilises photovoltaic cells to capture energy from the sun and fortunately these cells are becoming more affordable. Solar energy power can be used for electricity, heating, and making hot water plus solar energy produces no pollution, as its input comes completely from the sun’s rays. Although there is still a great deal of work to be done to make this an economically viable solution for the long term. On problem still to be overcome is storage of the collected power for ‘night-time’ use and when there the sunshine is not at its best.
In recent years there has been a great deal of interest in ‘wind farms’ which are being set up around the world normally through private finance. These are huge windmills with two but more often three blades which harness the power of the wind to generate electricity for many communities. Making use of energy and having a windmill to carry out the process is not something that can surprise many.
The windmills used today are massive compared to those used in the past and much more ‘high-tech’ and often referered to as ‘wind-turbines’. The only downside to this form of power is when the wind isn’t blowing, you cannot produce power. Of course, the power we need can come from other sources when this happens so currently we cannot rely completely on wind power even if we had sufficient farms to cater for our needs.
Another source of alternative energy that can generate an extensive amount of power is accessible in the form of hydroelectric energy. The concept of hydroelectricity is simple - using vast amounts of water and gravity to turn electricity producing turbines. Water is the driving source to power up hydroelectric turbines and since it is readily available everywhere, there couldn’t be much of a problem using it. The main problem with this process is the initial financial cost and the size of these dams means it is a lengthy project which does not come without it’s own issues.
Each dam is built from scratch and must be strong enough to hold back the huge amount of water that will be neede to make the dam a viable proposition. Building a dam to store and control water’s potential and kinetic energy takes quite a lot of work, and operating one is complex as well, and conservationists grow concerned that it is creating environmental problems. To produce power this way does not always require a dam, especially if it is only a small community that is being serviced. There are small run-of-river hydroelectric converters which are good for supplying neighbourhoods or an individual office or home.
Geothermal energy which is simply the naturally-occurring energy is also in all probability the most underestimated and less appreciated form of alternative energy that can be generated when artesian waters just below the earth’s crust are heated. Water below the earth’s surface is heated by the incredible temperatures at the planets core.
The water is drawn up by various different methods-there are “dry steam” power plants, “flash” power plants, and “binary” power plants for harnessing geothermal energy. The purpose of drawing up the hot water is for the gathering of the steam. The Geysers is an example of a dry stream plant located in the region of about 100 miles north of San Francisco and perhaps the best-known of all geothermal power fields.

How many of us love sending email greetings? How about receiving them? Emails used to be the cheapest way of sending greetings, especially when compared to the traditional pen-and-paper snail mail. Snail mail, on the other hand, can easily be misplaced or even stolen. To send an email, you do not need stamps, paper, pen, or a pricey greeting card. You certainly do not have to send your greeting cards at least three weeks before Christmas for fear that your cards might not get there in time!
After the hype of emails came the proliferation of e-cards. E-cards are designed with simple animations, like a laughing Santa Claus or blinking Christmas lights. They are usually embedded with sounds and some e-card services allow you to pick your favorite songs. Additionally, there are now video e-cards, chalked full of funny clips for every occasion.
A favorite video e-card is the one featuring an attractive woman saying ‘Ho Ho Ho.’ Now, this is terribly sexist, for sure, and some people might see it as insulting, but it does managed to make some people laugh. Be careful when sending such videos - you don’t want anyone to take it the wrong way. Someone who can take jokes and thinks little of women will surely like this e-card. After all, what’s Christmas without merry macho laughter?
Another favorite chauvinistic video is the one featuring a woman holding a road sign that says ‘Slippery When Wet.’ Listen closely to the background audio to find out know what exactly gets slippery when wet. Spoiler: it is nothing salacious, but it is humorous nonetheless. Make that chauvinist pig in your life laugh, especially after a stressful day at the office.
Video e-cards are so easy to send. Just choose the video you fancy, type in your friend’s email address, and send it. If you are feeling creative and want something different, then you can also shoot your own video, add your own songs, and send it to that close relation. Sending video e-cards cannot compete with sending a bona fide card in the mail, but it is the next best thing. Kind of, right? Close enough.

The police and social organizations often become unsuccessful in protecting the consumers from the clever methods used by large greedy businesses to extract every penny from the consumers. In those situations, you only have two options. The first one is for you to file a complaint with a Consumer Court, but they often take years to pass its judgment. The second option is to take up the matter on your own way, e.g., through the unconventional media, such as Internet. Your first action for the second option is to make a web site.
