Midland Credit Management is a collection agency and a subsidiary of Encore Capital Group. They collect on credit cards, automobiles, unsecured consumer debt, and telecom accounts.
Midland Credit Management is located in San Diego, Phoenix, and Minnesota. Their parent company Encore Capital Group is traded on the NASDAQ.
They will buy debt from other lenders and collection agencies. They say they try to work with customers in order to set up re-payment plans or settlement agreements.
However other individuals state that Midland often uses arbitration. This means they will try and get a court to place a judgment against you for the account they are trying to collect on.
If you can avoid a judgment I strongly encourage you to. If you have a negative listing from Midland I would dispute this listing directly with the credit bureaus.
A dispute can be done yourself or if you prefer you can hire a professional firm to do it for you. A dispute letter must be written and sent to the credit bureaus.
In this letter you simply give the specifics about the negative mark and the reason that it is incorrect. Then you place this letter in the mail.
If you only have one or two negative marks that you need to have removed then you should dispute these marks yourself. However if you have multiple marks then you should consider a professional firm to dispute them on your behalf.
A credit repair company will track and monitor you disputes and stay on top of the credit bureaus and their stall tactics. This company will also draft a “valid” dispute letter to start the investigation.
Credit bureaus commonly respond to the dispute letter with one requesting more information. This is done in hopes of the individual getting frustrated and giving up on the dispute.
The bureaus must pay for an investigation. The money to pay for this comes straight out of their pocket.
Professionals can often get a bureau to respond faster and conduct an investigation, than an individual. The bureaus may be fearful of the professionals filling a complaint with the FTC about them not being compliant to the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
This act simply says that the credit bureaus must investigate a dispute and remove the mark if it is found to be inaccurate or unverifiable.
In sum, your elected officials have put laws in place to protect your rights. You do not have to live with bad credit, it can be removed and your credit score can be repaired.

Packing up a computer usually means getting down on your hands and knees to unplug a mess of cables and connections. A time consuming task - even for people who know what they are doing! Using these tips should make packing it up a little easier.
By far the easiest thing to do is to repack the computer into the manufacturer’s boxes. They were built for your computer and will protect it well.
Oops! Threw them out, did you? Don’t worry, follow the tips below and you’ll be able to keep your computer safe during your move and unpack it in record time.
The best packaging supplies for computer equipment are foam pads, bubble wrap and clear plastic bags. Foam chips should not be used as they contain and produce static electricity; which may harm computer components.
Before you even think of packing - back up all your data.
Turn your computer off and disconnect it from all power sources. Before removing cords and cables it will be helpful to label each one with the port that it plugs into. Color-coded stickers and connection diagrams make reassembling your computer quick and easy. You could even take a photo of the back while it’s still connected.
Computer Equipment Packing 101
Cables - Wrap cables with twist ties, tape, or elastic bands to keep them from tangling.
Hard Drive - The hard drive is best left in the computer. But if you do need to remove it for some reason, it should be packed snugly in the center of a large box with foam pads and styrofoam holding it in place. Be sure to put it in a static free bag.
Monitor - Place the monitor in a plastic bag to protect the screen. Once again, a large box should be used so that there is plenty of space for padding. Bubble wrap, foam pads and styrofoam are all great at filling the air spaces and immobilizing the monitor.
Keyboard - Protect the keys of the keyboard with a piece of foam and then wrap the whole thing in plastic and/or bubble wrap. Box separately.
Sound Cards and Memory Chips - Usually, you just leave these inside the computer. But if you do have to remove them, be sure they are wrapped separately in Anti-Static bags. Normal plastic and paper products may damage these components. Make sure that each piece is cushioned with bubble wrap and foam pads.
Mouse - To keep the mouse clean, put it in a little plastic bag. If you have a battery-operated wireless mouse, remove them before storing it in a plastic bag.
External CD Rom Drives and Modems - Similar to the keyboard, these items should be boxed individually and wrapped in bubble wrap and foam pads for protection.
Printer - First - remove all trays, arms and paper. Wrap them in plastic bags before boxing them. Then, place the printer in a plastic bag in the center of its own box. Use foam and styrofoam to protect the fragile parts.
CDs and DVDs - Store these in storage containers made especially for this purpose.
In closing, box each item carefully so that individual pieces won’t bump into each other. You may want to label each box as FRAGILE - THIS SIDE UP and/or DO NOT STACK.
Follow these tips and you will find that packing and reconnecting your computer is something you CAN do!
Good luck!

Wisdom lifts up her voice. Do we hear her: “Many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.” She is greater than fine diamonds. Have we desired her: “He brings low the mighty and exalts the lowly.” By her judges rule and kings reign. Have we discovered her: “He must increase, but I must decrease.” Consider wisdom:
It is better to go to a house of mourning than to go to a house of feasting and sorrow is better than laughter, because a sad face is good for the heart. The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of pleasure. Eccl 7:2-4
Wisdom? The heart is made better by the sadness of the countenance? The house of mourning is better than the house of feasting? I thought Christian salvation was about God having a wonderful, happy plan for my life. Why all this talk of sadness and mourning? Surely the writer doesn’t understand the ways of God. Surely he doesn’t understand salvation - or does he? Is it possible that it is us moderns who don’t understand the ways of God?
What Solomon understood is this: “Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it abides alone: but if it dies, it brings forth much fruit” (John 12:24). He understood that “weeping last for a night, but that joy comes in the morning.” Solomon knew that without crucifixion there would be no resurrection. Is the Christian church of this age greater than its Master?
Consider: a baker prepares bread by meticulously mixing water, sugar, salt, yeast and flour. He rolls and kneads until the dough is perfect. His guests are hungry and pushing for the bread. The wise baker knows, however, that he must be patient - rising cannot be rushed. Though the guests ask him to omit the yeast the baker knows that even though a quick, yeast-free concoction might taste similar to bread - it would never actually be bread at all.
From powdered potatoes to microwave oatmeal, if you want fast and easy - you got it. Drive-through coffee, drive-through banks, seeker friendly churches - it’s alright skip the yeast! We want weight loss without exercise and Christian conversion without contrition; it takes too long to rise! Contrition? Though many professing believers have never even heard the term: contrition is the yeast in the bread of genuine salvation. Contrition is the house of mourning; it’s the sadness of the countenance. Contrition is death to the seed; it is weeping in the night. Contrition means crucifixion to self-righteousness and excuses. Contrition is sackcloth and ashes to the heart!
Without contrition genuine gospel salvation and revival are impossible. Please, don’t misunderstand. We can still play church (even mega-church) without contrition. We might have thousands at our crusades (and probably will) without contrition. Sinners can even recite rote prayers without contrition. We cannot, however, get one self-obsessed soul to repent and be genuinely saved without contrition.
Because your heart was tender and you humbled yourself before me, and did rend your clothes, and weep before me; I have even heard you, says the Lord (2 Chron 34:27-28).
The sacrifice of a torn garment is fruitless without the sacrifice of a contrite and broken heart. In the same way the sacrifices of church attendance, giving, and other spiritual endeavors are useless apart from a contrite heart. We may shred every garment we own and even assent to all the right doctrinal stuff, but without a tender and humble heart God does not hear and revival will not come. Remove godly sorrow from the bread of conversion and our converts just won’t rise.
I now rejoice, not that you were made sorrowful, but that you were made sorrowful to the point of repentance; for you were made sorrowful according to the will of God, in order that you might not suffer loss in anything through us. For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation; but the sorrow of the world produces death (2 Cor 7:9-10).

What are Anabolic Steroids?
Anabolic steroids or anabolic–androgenic steroids are drugs that are synthetic analogs of the “male” hormone testosterone. Anabolic steroids were developed almost eighty years ago to aid the development of male sexual characteristics and muscle growth. To date, they are extremely popular with body builders, weight lifters and athletes who want to increase their muscle mass, endurance and strength.
However, anabolic-androgenic steroids have a two pronged effect. While the anabolic affect of these steroids affects the development of strength, endurance and muscle mass, the androgenic one influences characteristics related to sexuality. The former has been known to cause unwanted side effects, especially in women. However, the current version of anabolic steroids in the market today like Dianabol, Winstrol And Deca Durabolin come with slightly different structures than that of the testosterone molecule, so that the anabolic effects like improvement in strength and muscle mass can be availed without going through any severe or noticeable androgenic side effects.
The Benefits Of Using Anabolic Steroids
Anabolic steroids like Winstrol, Dianabol and Deca Durabolin, when combined with the required amount and type of diet and physical activity often have many positive effects on the users. These anabolic steroids increase the body’s ability to use protein, thus helping body builders and athletes to work out extensively without losing muscle weight. They directly increase the body’s ability to build muscle mass and help in increasing endurance and strength. These steroids are also used as an anti inflammatory and for treatment of muscle injuries since they considerably speed recovery time.
Because steroid use in sport is banned, the majority of people who generally use drugs like Dianabol, Deca Durabolin and Winstrol are body builders and non professional health or sports freaks who use them as an aid for building muscles, strength and endurance. These drugs, when combined with the right diet and exercise can greatly help in building muscle mass and converting fat into muscle.
Apart from use in sports and body building, anabolic steroids are also used by doctors for treating patients with delayed puberty and other testosterone related ailments. Anabolic steroids are also used for delaying and preventing wasting of muscle mass in people suffering from AIDS and for treating osteoporosis and anemia.
Anabolic steroids can be taken orally or through injections. They are also used in many creams or gels. Anabolic steroids taken through injections are generally more effective than orally taken ones and have lesser side effects. Often, two or more anabolic steroids like Deca Durabolin ,Dianabol and Winstrol are used in conjunction with each other to produce better results. Men who use them for building a muscular physique often do so in cycles where the use of these steroids is stopped for a certain period and then started again in an effort to avoid their side effects.
Side Effects Of Anabolic Steroids
Some of the common androgenic side effects of anabolic steroids are an increased sex drive, shrinkage of the testes and gynecomastia in men and the development of masculine characteristics like a deep voice, facial and body hair, menstrual irregularities, male pattern baldness and enlargement of the clitoris in women.
Some anabolic steroids also cause changes in cholesterol levels and composition and influence blood pressure. Irritability and aggression are also caused by the use of some steroids while acne is a common problem for both genders with the use of most anabolic steroids. In order to avoid severe side effects like liver failure, stunted growth and irreversible male characteristics in women, it is important that these drugs are used based on the advice of a professional.

Making the decision to homeschool takes a lot of research and effort. You may need our best home school resource to help you out! When you’re new to homechooling, you may begin to panic at the thought of everything you need to do. Don’t worry though, because there are many resources to help you out. We’ll help you get started right here!
Homeschooling is not exactly an easy decision for some families. Please do not get discouraged on your search to learn more about how to home school, and what you’ll need to do. You may be surprised to learn that teaching your children is easier than you thought! Finding your own best home school resource, either online or off will help immensely.
We live in Ohio, so in our state - we start by sending what is called a “letter of intent” to the superintendent of our local school board. Basically this letter states that we intend to home school our boys, and we also need to include a basic outline of the curriculum we will be using for the year. Every state has it’s own policies, so start by calling the superintendent of your own local board of education.
You’ll need to know if there are any other requirements that need met. For example, you may need to name and register your homeschool with the local board of education. Your state will have it’s own laws that govern specifics related to homeschooling, and the best place to start is with the superintendent.
Most cities will have a local homeschooling resource center, or you can find local homeschool groups. On of my personal best home school resources has been our local homeschool group. Within these groups, you can get acquainted with other parents in your area that are homeschooling too. Many of these groups will have more experienced families that you can learn from. Not only that, they will often share in teaching duties, schedule field trips, classes and other fun things!
If you are worried about “socialization” you won’t for long when you find a good local homeschool group. You just may find that it’s the best home school resource on the planet! Not only to they help where you need it, they are an invaluable resource for FREE activities, classes and trips to the Zoo even. I highly recommend finding a homeschool group to hang out with in your area.
You will find that homeschooling blogs are particularly helpful because other homeschooling parents will post comments, suggestions, tips, tricks, and yep - even free stuff when they hear about it. You will want to find other homeschooling families with blogs in your area, even Yahoo groups - so you can take advantage of the local free opportunities that come along. The online community will provide an excellent place for you to learn, grow, and contribute. Your children will benefit because you are taking advantage of all that is offered!

You hear a lot these days about how important it is to live a greener life? that you should lighten your carbon footprint on the earth. Sometimes it seems like we’re getting lectured everywhere we turn.
However, there are some easy ways to live a greener life. Curbside recycling is in place in most cities, where you can simply place your recyclables out with your trash for pickup (in a separate container, of course). It’s easy to separate your plastic, aluminum and other recyclable materials. The recycling pickup service takes care of the rest ? all you have to do is to take it outside!
There are many things you can do to cut down on driving. Try to do everything in one trip if possible. You will save money, cut down on traffic, and reduce emissions into the environment. Driving is stressful and stress is not good for you so less driving means less stress. Ride with someone or use public transportation if you can. You can ride a bike or walk in some cases and it will also give you some healthy exercise.
There are also plenty of green products which you can use around the house. These are inexpensive and can end up saving you a lot of money ? for instance, compact fluorescent bulbs. These are a great improvement over regular incandescent light bulbs and cost about the same while using far less energy and lasting a lot longer.
Making your home more green will also make it more comfortable. Big windows will let in more light, so you can leave your electric lights off longer, fluorescent bulbs and energy efficient appliances will save energy and money too. Turn off the air when you are away, fix those hot water leaks, hang clothes on the line when weather permits. These seem like little things but they will make a big difference in your energy bill.
Another place to go green and save money is with batteries. Today’s rechargeable batteries last a long time, recharge easily, and save you money. When they finally do run out of their charging ability, rechargeable batteries are recyclable. Just drop them off at your local hardware store for recycling along with any broken fluorescent bulbs.
Once you start doing this, you will feel much better about yourself and also see how easy it is to live green. You will probably be surprised at the money you gain too. You can rest easier knowing you are doing your part to keep the earth greener and healthier for future generations as well as right now.

The internet has transformed the way we conduct business and our personal lives. From how we research jobs, to make large purchase decisions, the world wide web has changed the way we research decisions.
One of the biggest transformations that has come about because of the internet is how we find family members whom we have lost touch with.
There are many resources available for finding people. The top free resources for finding people include the social networks. For example, Friendster is a leader in this area. Hundreds of millions of people are on the service. These services tend to cater to people who tend to be younger.
So how do you find people if they are not on a site like Tagged? Today there are a number of people search services which let you find info about people. These services tend to cost money, about $45. The good news about these services are cheaper than using a private investigator. If you want to lookup information about phone numbers, there are many resources available, but it is hard to find the best ones. There are some free services, but most are not comprehensive. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
People who are open to paying for a membership service can sign up with a reverse phone resource. Just enter the phone number and you will receive information like phone carrier, address, and name.
You’ve heard the saying there is no such thing as a free lunch. Well, many services claim to be free of charge. But usually they end up finding a way to charge you eventually. So instead, find a trustworthy service and pay to get the info you are looking for as quickly as possible.

On Site, Traditional High School
You wake up one day and voila, you are in the middle of a new chapter of your life - high school! There is a vague feeling of wariness as you enter the campus grounds, not really knowing what to expect from the teachers, schoolmates and peers. Basing it from the experience of some people I know, they either totally love high school so much, whereas some cannot wait for it to end. Occasionally one can really experience rough sailing. When you come down to it, it is kind of a regimented life; which starts early in the morning, putting on your gear and waiting for or running after the school bus which will bring you to your regular high school adventure. It may be added points to your popularity if you drive your own car.
Off Site, Virtual High School
With the onset of modern technology, high school may no longer be as what we know it to be. Bad or good high school memories will never come into play anymore. That is, if you go to a virtual high school. It might be too much to absorb right now, but there is already such a thing.
We know that today, countless parents are educating their children in their homes. Perhaps, because of convenience this has now become a general practice. I did not so much as give this system of education much thought until I was matured enough. While it is true that there is an efficient way of rating the students and keeping organized records of their ratings, there is totally no provision for interaction with other people, with teachers and school mates. How can they adjust to college life when they have been robbed of the opportunity to develop their social aptitudes which happens mostly in high school?
This same dilemma arises with virtual high school. Can you imagine your child taking courses from home on the computer? This sounds so bizarre in theory. On the other hand, colleges are already doing it across the country. It’s a synch to pick up an online course these days.
Would you allow your child access to virtual high school? Or, would you prefer them to stick to the more traditional ways of public school? Where virtual high school is concerned, I think we all can see some benefits. For example, if you are living in an unsafe community with dangerous schools, then virtual high school could be beneficial. This could also be ideal for handicapped children, who wish to acquire education in the privacy of their own home.
If you would like to learn more about virtual high school, then simply hop online and take a gander at the current situation. Soon your child may be taking a class or two online.

With the internet becoming a huge part of our daily lives, many people have emailed asking about if it is possible to watch TV online. We decided to put together a quick guide on how to find any TV channel and watch it on your computer.
It’s pretty impressive how much you can now find online. There are many benefits to watching TV on your computer compared to regular cable or satellite services.
With cable or satellite service there is always some restrictions on what channels you received. Usually there are extra fees you have to pay if you want certain specialty channels such as movie or sports packages.
Online you can find a lot more channels without having to worry about any fees. The services online that offer live TV don’t have the same regulations that they have to follow so it’s a lot easier for them to offer more selection.
There are two main options when you are looking for online TV services - let’s go over each of them.
Option # 1 - Watch TV Online
There are certain websites that advertise having free TV channels that you can watch. Many people go hunting for this type of service but they are often disappointed with what they find.
As you can probably guess the selection of channels on these sites is very limited. You can only get the most basic channels - any specialty channels aren’t available.
One of the most common complaints is that the picture quality is often very poor on these websites. Since there isn’t any money that is being invested into these websites, they can’t afford to provide enough bandwidth for the video streams to be consistent.
We can’t really recommend these sites because of the problems that come along with them - there are a lot better options.
Option Number Two
There are websites that offer access to thousands of different TV channels. This includes all of the major networks, sports packages, movies channels and other premium channels.
There’s a fee for using these websites, but it isn’t very expensive. You will be asked to pay a one-time membership fee which will give you full access to all the TV channels and services. There are no monthly or additional charges.
You can use the link at the bottom of this article to learn how to get a free trial to a couple of the top-ranked online TV services.
If you have a laptop, a great feature is that you can use this service no matter where you are. It works all over the world - you just need an internet connection and you can watch any channel you want.
Since these services usually run about $50-$70, there’s a lot of people that have lowered their monthly cable charges and watch other premium channels on their computer. It’s a great option to have and you don’t have to worry about paying any fees besides the registration fee.
Watching television online has quickly become the option of choice for many people. It’s a great way to find any TV show or movie that you want to watch without having to worry about a monthly bill. Enjoy!
