If Oprah Winfrey has her way Universalism will dominate religious discourse. By advent of her extreme popularity and influence now even in the political arena, Christians may be shamed into accepting her worldview or at least to be silent about their own. She called Barack Obama “The One” and helped propel him to the White House.
Oprah and the Obama’s have been longtime friends. The Obamas have expressed that they accept Oprah’s message of “many paths” to having an “experience with God”. Barak and Michelle have professed that they are Christians. The problem is that their former pastor, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, taught them that Jesus is not the only way, hell isn’t real, heaven will accept practicing homosexuals, and black liberation theology is a foundational truth. Oprah transitioned from attending the church led by Rev. Jeremiah Wright to becoming a catalyst for the global promotion of Universalism through radio, television, and the Oprah magazine.
Once of Oprah’s sources of truth is A Course in Miracles. It purports that sin is fictitious. This concept makes room for behaving however one sees fit. This is relativism of a moral nature. What you call sin may not be sin to me. Therefore, a woman’s right to choose is more powerful than the baby’s right to live in her womb.
The Bible is not ambiguous concerning the subjects of the right of the unborn child, practicing homosexuality, or fornication. Scriptures relating to these essential Christian doctrines are not based on “obscure” passages of scripture as Barack Obama has commented in his book, The Audacity of Hope. Yet, the beliefs of Oprah and Obama are strongly affecting our culture with a retribution. Traditional Christianity is perceived by these advocates as regressive, uninformed, and moronic. By the mere fact of a media or political person’s commanding oratory abilities, Christians are being persuaded and manipulated into quietude or acquiescence.
In my new book, The Oprahfication of Our Culture, I call this silence cultural Christianity. It is time for believers to avoid compromise by being “uncultured” Christians. This is not the hour for believers to cower into the corners of society and hope for the best. Speak out for what you believe! Stand up and having done all to stand, stand! Don’t be intimidated into silence.
Are we still a center/right country or are we moving more toward the radical left in idealism? Three states, California, Arizona and Florida, just affirmed conservative values by passing constitutional amendments supporting traditional marriage as being between a man and a woman, a real blow to the homosexual lobby. Yet, lawsuits have been initiated in California to try and override the will of the people. Is a pastor open game for litigation by activists who dare him to quote the Bible from his pulpit, because their view of scripture is that of “hate speech?” Does the Bible violate certain perceived civil rights? Do those civil rights trump the freedom of speech and of religion we have enjoyed for over two hundred years in our great country? Where are we headed in America?
It looks like the prophet Isaiah discerned this interval in our history when he said, Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! Isaiah 5:20 The Amplified Bible
Things seem to be turning upside down. Practicing Christians are depicted as hate mongering extremists for simply differing with “politically correct” views of the cultural establishment in New York, Washington and Hollywood. In spite of these very unrelenting, well staked, fanatical, left predisposed voices, Christians are warned to be watchmen on the wall and sound the alarm (Mark 13:35-37). God’s Holy Word is not hate speech. It is the axiom of righteousness in an morally decadent world. Sit not in quietude. Be aware, pray and, be vocal. Stand out for truth.

With the increasing level of competition and sophistication in the world, the desire to learn foreign languages has become more of a trend than a necessity. People want to fill their resumes with an additional qualification being the ability to speak french. Not only career driven folks but also those who wish to travel around the world and get the feel for the culture in its realistic sense.
Especially with the all the work you have in hand at present, you might find it almost impossible to take the time in attending french classes. As such, the only possible way to learn how to speak french would be with the use of an interactive software program. Use of such a program gives you the ability to be flexible in learning the french language. A good french training software would be one that is not only interactive in many ways but fun at the same time.
You can also try to learn french ONLINE. There are many french training blogs, articles, fun interactive games etc… that do a great job in teaching you the basics of french. Yet, the art of being fluent in french comes from understanding the grammar necessary in the language. It makes all the difference.
Another important thing to be mindful of in this case is to actually use the french language very frequently. Have you ever learnt something complicated in high school just to forget it a few months or years later? You have to go through the entire subject all over again just to remember what you learnt before.
It’s very important that you can keep using the language frequently. Keep communicating with the language among friends or family and you’ll be stuck with the language in no time. Of course they will find you annoying and irritating at first, but you’ll be laughing at them when you know a new language and they don’t!
The art of sounding like a total french native even if you are NOT is by actually hanging around french natives. Talking with them in their language helps you become more knowledgeable about the proper use of words in communication. It not only helps you become fluent, but you actually understand the grammatical logic behind the language.
It’s not easy to find french speak natives if you live outside France. The recommended alternative in my opinion is to look for interactive french training program online that can help out a great deal. It’s more private and less stressful than doing it infront of a group or crowd.
With all the clutter out there online, it is very difficult to find a good reasonable french learning software that does the job of making french learning not only fun, but helps you be good at it the same time with the use of interactive audio training and games. Not to mention teaching you the art of proper grammar. There is one product however that does fits into the requirements of making you sound like a french native in no time.

Renewable energy is not that easy to define. The definition has to be all-encompassing as it is the general term for a whole range of unconventional energy sources. Most experts mean that renewable energy is something that occurs naturally and very widely.
Most renewable energy sources are dependent on nuclear power. This nuclear power comes from the sun. In a huge nuclear reaction, the sun produces energy in the form of light and heat and this reaches the earth as natural sources of energy. The sun is the ultimate source of solar power, wind power, biomass energy and so on. Fossil fuels may be categorized under biomass energy, but are limitedly available and have plenty of disastrous side effects.
The US National Renewable Energy Laboratory has a great renewable energy program that finds the upcoming energy saving building methods. We have realized that energy efficiency is the best way to go, and this is where people will be educated in this aspect.
They cooperate with the leaders of the construction industry, highlight attempts to try to build using renewable energy and give information to producers as well as consumers how they can save money by using this type of energy. NREL also collaborate with agencies to set a rule of thumb for buildings and other energy consuming contrivances.
The use of renewable energy is beneficial for the our sadly polluted world. Wind and solar energy are two main types of this energy. Bio fuels, geothermal energy and wave or tidal power are fast becoming more popular in areas where they can be applied.
Is there any difference between renewable and alternative energy?
Many people are not aware of the slight difference between the two. Renewable energy is essentially natural; it is the energy we can derive from the sun or wind or waves. Alternative energy, however, includes biofuels and nuclear energy sources which are not totally healthy options.
The infrastructure of today is made for the use of fossil fuels, even though renewable energy or green energy is way more cost effective. The government has taken very few steps to make any changes and go for renewable sources of energy in a larger scale. With the present situation getting worse day by day, there must be a change pretty soon.
A good thing about fossil fuels is the easy way we can store the energy we get, a procedure that is more complicated with renewable or green energy sources. Solar power, for instance, is not that effective in cloudy weather. Without any wind, that source of energy cannot be made use of. This and the fact that initial costs to get energy from these unconventional sources are relatively high, have lent it a small drawback when we compare to traditional energy sources.
