With VoIP, instead of using traditional land lines to make voice calls, you use a broadband connection to the Internet. That allows you to bypass the telephone company (to a large degree) and thereby avoid their charges.

This also allows VoIP providers to bundle add-on services that regular phone companies charge for, such as voice mail, call forwarding, and call waiting. It is the digital nature of VoIP that makes this possible.

When you look at the numbers, VoIP services cost about half the cost of traditional phone services. One big reason is that many VoIP services in the United States and Canada allow you to call anywhere in North America at no extra charge. So long distance charges are completely eliminated. This is the cash cow of the traditional phone companies.

6) Lower energy consumption is another benefit of Bluetooth over similar devices. This means you will drain your battery less often or use less electricity in the use of your Bluetooth devices.

7) Bluetooth allows compatible devices to share data and voice communication. This means that you can drive more safely while talking on your cell phone.

8) You have the option of creating a Personal Area Network (PAN) with your Bluetooth device. This network operates within a 30 foot range and can have as many as 7 devices connected.
