Some recent trends in hip hop clothing have seen a move away from in-your-face rapper influenced designs to more mass-market friendly designs from major clothing manufacturers. In other words, urban wear designs have lightened up quite a bit - acknowledging that hip hop clothing - and the hip hop attitude - is just like most other trends: more imagined than real. Designer jeans and other designer urban wear are no exception.
As designs began to migrate from the rapper-inspired, and usually rapper-owned design shops to more established, mainstream labels the transformation was almost inevitable. It is not credible (or even desirable) for major clothing designers to pretend they are downtrodden and unhappy with the status quo. They are the status quo. And so are their customers.|As a result of rapidly changing fashions enterprising clothing merchants can purchase decent sized lots of over stocked items and sell them in bulk at wholesale prices - often on the internet. These items usually go for significantly lower prices than you can find in most retail stores that stock designer clothing.
